"I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.
If you really knew Me,
you would know My Father as well.
From now on, you know Him and have seen Him."

Created For His Purpose

You have disciplined me like an unruly calf, and I have been disciplined. Restore me,
and I will return, because You are my God. After I strayed, I repented; after I came to understand, I beat my breast. I was ashamed and
humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.
Jeremiah 31:18-19

So many things have been happening as of late and so many things that should be know about God and His will seem to be getting distorted and forgotten.
Families seem to have forgotten what it means to be family, marriage vows seem to have been forgotten and the whole meaning of marriage has been
distorted. Life is just too short for people to live the way that they are doing. There is a much better way for life, but people are so caught up in what can only
be described as blindness. In both my life and in the world, we have seen people die so very young. We have seen families torn apart, suffering and pain,
heartbreak covering every aspect of life. But we seem to not want to even try to ease one another’s pain. We are so caught up in our own selfish desires and
wants that we place others sufferings as something that we don’t need to care about. But God has called us to a different way of living. God has called us to
love no matter what. God has called us to be there for one another, holding on to one another and being there no matter what. I am not perfect no matter how
hard I try. But I find the more and more I focus on God, the less and less of me there is and the better I feel about life and worry has left my thoughts. I can be
concerned about things or persons, but worry just doesn’t enter into my life any more. I allow God to hold me close and to handle things. I don’t care about
things anymore, but about God, His love, and His people. When we follow what God leads us to in complete abandonment will we find the peace that is God.

Needless worry is what so many people have. What am I going to do to pay my rent, to get a job, to pay the utilities, to put gas in my car, all the things that we
need to survive in this life? We have to put the worry behind us and trust in the Lord for all the things that we need in life. We can be concerned but it should
never bring us stress. We can only do what God has placed before us this day and do the best that we can. Any less than our best, means that we have held
back all that God requires from us. We have become a world and a people that is so full of stress and heartache, that we glory in watching others suffering
instead of showing them the love of our Lord God and showing people God’s way. We have become scared of what will happen to us instead of abandoning
ourselves to God and trusting in Him.

The prophet Jeremiah was called by God and his life was not easy but he listened and obeyed what the Lord told him. In
Jeremiah 1:4-8: The Word of the
Lord came to me, saying,
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
“Ah, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am only a child.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a child. You must go to everyone I
send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,”
declares the Lord.

This Scriptures speaks volumes about so many things and in doing so, shows us what is required from us with God. We try to think of God in terms that we can
understand and in doing so, we forget that God is not human, even though for a brief moment in time He did become human but in doing so, He never gave up
being God. And not every one of us is to be a prophet, but we are to be believers and do as the Lord commands. Not every one will obey God and seek Him
with all of their hearts. Many will simply wallow in self-pity and never allow themselves to partake of all the goodness and righteousness that is of God. We
cannot keep thinking of God in regards to what we know, for God is not human but divine. Divine is not the same as human and human is not the same as
divine. That should be fairly obvious but it is not. Many people want God to fit what they want Him to be instead of being what God wants them to be. Simply,
God created us and we are His. He created us to show His love, but far too many people don’t get what love is. Many people think of love only pertaining to sex,
some think of love only in relationship to those with whom they have a personal relationship and others simply don’t know what love is because they have never
felt love from any one in their lives.

God is love. In
John 15:9-14: “As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love. If you obey My commands, you will remain in My love,
just as I have obeyed My Father’s commands and remain in His love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My
command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do
what I command.”

God is love. His love is so great that even though we disobeyed what prophets have spoken and are still speaking, He loved us so much that He wants us to
know Him on a personal level and so became human. Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. The Creator coming down to His creations and having a personal
relationship, teaching us what He wants us to know so that we can truly be His creations and live the life that we were created for. God is love, and His love is so
deep, that He took His own punishment for sin upon Himself and died on a cross, so that we can be forgiven of our sins. God forgave us all of our sins in the
past, in the present and in the future, in the one act of love by laying down His life for ours. We need to rally around the cross and understand this great gift
that God has given to us. We need to stop be so petty and selfish and stand together around the cross. And we need to stop sinning.

But we don’t get beyond being selfish children. We are like Peter Pan and never want to grow up. And in doing so, we could lose all the promises of our God.
We could lose our reward for listening to God and doing His will in our lives. We do not get saved by what we do. Jesus saved us by dying on the cross. Jesus
gave us Salvation in His body, with His life. God has given us our Salvation, we can do nothing to earn it. But we can lose that salvation by thinking that we can
do anything and that it doesn’t matter to God. We matter to God and everything that we say and do matter to God. When we live only in a selfish manner as to
‘what do I get out of it’ we will never understand what the love of God is. Jesus gave His life for yours, do you understand that? God your Creator died for your
sins so why do you keep on living in sin? Why do you keep on doing the same things you did before you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Jesus gave
His life as a ransom for you, so that you can come and live with Him when He calls your name and when all things have been accomplished and this world and
these heavens are gone. We are living life to learn about God, from God, and in God what He wants of us in our lives. God asks that we surrender our lives to
Him and learn from Him.

When God called Jeremiah, he responded that he is only a child. Jeremiah was scared to be called and to do God’s will. And God did not promise Jeremiah that
he would have an easy time, but said:
“Do not be afraid of them, for I AM with you and will rescue you” (Jeremiah 1:8). God said He will be there to rescue
Jeremiah from what was to come to him for following God’s will for his life. God has a plan for our lives and that’s all we need to know. When God places that
plan before us, it is our responsibility to go forth and do what God requires. Sadly too many people don’t seek out God’s will for their lives and never come into
the relationship with God that we were created for. So God set apart from the beginning people who would hear God’s voice and listen to what HE said to do,
and to do it and to preach it so others may hear it and perhaps decide to learn for themselves about God and His will for their lives.

Our faith in God has to be active, for if we sit in the middle or on the sidelines, we miss out on the grace that could be ours. Faith that is dead is worthless, to be
spit out and trampled upon because it does not season others with the love of God. Faith that is dead is useless and not worthy of God. We need to be worthy
of God, to praise Him in all things and to accept His will into our lives. Then the Lord reached out His hand and touched my mouth and said to me, ‘Now, I have
put My Words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant’
(Jeremiah 1:9-10). We need to stop being children and learn from God, opening our mouths and accepting what God is giving us. We need to tear down the
walls of the devil spreading his lies and uproot the curses that have come upon this earth. We need to destroy and overthrow the strongholds of the devil and
to plant seeds of faith in God and to build up the body of Christ. We cannot sit silently and allow the devil to control and to tear down what God has created.
God created you in His own image and not in the devil’s. He created you to go forth and reap much fruit, to work towards the new earth and the new heavens,
living a life firmly planted in Him. Our lives are the way that they are because we are afraid of asking this: And if you ask yourself,
“Why has this happened to
me?”—it is because of your many sins that your skirts have been torn off and your body mistreated
(Jeremiah 13:22). We have forgotten God and have
trusted in man instead. Our adulteries and shameful lusting after another, our abandoning ourselves to sexual immorality and perversions of God’s Word
concerning these things and prostitution for sex, money, power, have given our lives over to the devil. These things have become our gods and we have
forsaken our Creator.

We have to say:
O Lord, we acknowledge our wickedness and the guilt of our fathers; we have indeed sinned against You. For the sake of Your Name do not
despise us; do not dishonor Your glorious throne. Remember Your covenant with us and do not break it.
Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is You, O Lord our God. Therefore our hope is in
You, for You are the One Who does all this
(Jeremiah 14:20-22).  Until we acknowledge our sins, until we acknowledge that we need to have an active faith
and live our lives being God’s will to one another, we are not doing what we were created for. We want God to do for us, not what we need to do for God. If only
we would humble ourselves and pray and repent of our sins and return to God. If only we would do what we were created for, His purpose, His will for all things
in our lives. If only we could surrender our lives to Him and live our lives in Him and through Him in the Father. If only we could love one another, no matter
what. What a wonderful world this would be.

This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place.
For I know the plans I have for you,”
declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call
upon Me and come and pray to Me and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all
your heart. I will be found by you,”
declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places that I have
banished you,”
declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
Jeremiah 29:10-14
